Recently had the opportunity to visit Witty Whiskers while passing through St. Augustine, and what a precious cat café! Located in a charming historic home just off the interstate, it was such an easy and worthwhile stop. We enjoyed a wine tasting, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the owner was so welcoming and clearly passionate about her mission and the cats in her care. The whole place is full of charm and personality—and of course, the felines stole the show!

I loved my experience at this cat café. I had a delicious iced Matcha latte from a local source of tea. The atmosphere was calm and the girl working there was super nice to talk to. Two stories of so many different furry personalities. Only complaint is that it’s a popular place for kids, whose parents let them misbehave/are too rough with the kitty’s and people around them, which is not the cafes fault. It didn’t smell *at all* and the cats looked healthy! Not particularly comfortable space to sit on but that’s not a big deal. Most memorable character there is this one eyed-badass, whose one goal is to roughhouse and fight everybody it comes across. I hope he gets adopted :) (oh and Benjamin the black cat in the photo below was a total sweetie)

Beautiful place. Amazing staff. Great latte. Delicious cookie. Adorable cats. What more could you possibly ask for?! Brought a large group and they were accommodating and kind. Everyone had a blast.

My family and I had such a great time at "The Witty Whisker Cafe"! The staff was super friendly, they had parking on site so that was easy to maneuver, the location is tidy, super cutely decorated and there were plenty of kitties to enjoy! It was about $15/person but my two year old was free to get in. They recommend you make an appointment, although sometimes they can accommodate walk-ins. Grippy socks are required in the area with all the cats but there are plenty available for purchase. I want to say they were a little over a dollar, I can't entirely recall. We didn't get any food or drinks during our time here but they had a nice little selection. So it was tempting. They do have a separate area, if you're someone who doesn't feel comfortable eating/drinking with the kitties. 10/10 would recommend if you're a fellow cat lover!

This place truly touched my heart. I’ve always loved cats, but walking into this café felt like stepping into a safe little world filled with warmth, kindness, and love. The way they care for these sweet babies is something special. You can see it in every detail and feel it in the way the cats trust and interact with people. Each cat has its own little “purrr-sonality” lol, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with them. Knowing they’re up for adoption made it even more emotional. If I could, I’d take every single one home with me. It’s not just a café. It’s a place that heals. I was dealing with anxiety when I came in, and just sitting there with a coffee and these gentle, playful souls genuinely calmed me down. I’ll never forget that feeling. Plus they have cat pins, stickers, plushies, cat accessories, anything cat-related for us cat lovers! A major win. To the owner and employees >> thank you for creating such a special space.
